It is a request for information (RFI). The Defense Supply Center Raichmond (DSCR), located in Richmond Virginia is conducting RFI to recieve input from commercial Generator manufacturs in identifying by National Stock Number (NSN) or commercial part number items described in The Department Of State Office Of Foreign buildings Operations Residential Diesel Generator Set Specification. There is a potential for an award of a Requirements Type Contract not to exceed $5,000,000. The contract duration will be a base year with a possible 4 option year. Delivery orders will be issued electronically by our customers directly to the manufactur for an estahlished contract price, with a 10 day FOB destination Conus delivery schedule. Inspection/Acceptance will be destination. Oversea's deliveries will be to the nearest port for Consolidated goverment shipments. The RFI discusses DLA background information wherein DLA is a logistics combat support agency whose primary role is to provide supplies and services to America's military forces worldwide. DLA's mission includes mangaing over four million consumable items, processing more than 30 million annual distribution actions and administering over $900 billion of DoD and other agency contracts. The Defence Logisstics Support Command (DLSC),DLA Supply-chain manager, is responsible for several supply and services centers and a distribution center. DLSC procures, manages, store, and distributes over four million items for all U.S. military customers, other federal agencies, and allied forces throughout the world.
