B -- ISO 14001 CERTIFICATION FOR FORT LEWIS, WASHINGTON SOL DAKF57-99-T-0035 DUE 073099 POC Nancy Gary, Contract Specialist, (253) 967-2151, ext. 207 Provide all plant, labor, tools, equipment and materials to conduct an ISO 14001 certification of the Directorate of Public Works, Fort Lewis, Washington and provide a documented conclusion. Specific requirements: Conduct a review and planning visit to verify and document the Environmental Management System (EMS) procedures and other relevant EMS documents against the ISO 14001 standard series or equivalent standards; review and provide documented comments on the environmental aspects, significant impacts, objectives and targets, applicable regulations and commitment to continual improvement; develop a working plan for the certification audit; develop a draft and final report from the review and planning visit. The report shall consist of the working plan and results of the documented EMS audits including a conclusion statement. Perform a certification audit to include the corrective actions implemented as a result of the documented review and planning visit; conduct activity audits for the implementation of the EMS; develop a draft and final report from the certification audit, including a Certification Report. The report will consist of a review of the documented review and planning visit, results of the documented EMS audits and a summarizing matrix. The Certification Report will include a final conclusion concerning the ISO 14001 certification of Public Works. Option items are included to perform surveillance audits at 6-month intervals. The Contractor must be ISO 14001 certified. The Contractor must be able to conduct the certification audit during the 1st quarter of 2000. The Contractor must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) in order to be awarded this contract. This request for quotation is being issued as unrestricted.
