R -- PROFESSIONAL SERVICES FOR COMPUTER TRAINING SOL 157458 DUE 072299 POC Dee Gibson, Contract Administrator, (301) 827-7177, or fax 827-7151 The Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Center for Biologics and Evaluation and Research [CBER] would like to educate its regulatory staff on the efficient use of MS Project 98 software to facilitate decision making in the timely approval/disapproval of biologic products submissions. The contractor will develop one workshop (with future enhancements as necessary) presented ten (10) times on ""Applying MS Project '98 in a Regulatory Environment"". The workshop (approximately 12 participants each) will be conducted for CBER Regulatory Project Managers and review team members as the primary audience. CBER will provide on-site classroom facilities, including audiovisual equipment (e.g. flip charts, overhead projector) and all computer and software support. The course content will address applying MS Project 98 software concepts, methodologies and practices as they relate to a regulatory project management environment. Workshop syllabus must be addressed within the context of CBER's organizational characteristics (fixed budget, multiple projects at one time with conflicting deadlines, etc.) Students should acquire skill in the use of MS Project 98 software from initial setup through planning, tracking and reporting as a result of the training. Course must be taught from a project management perspective and utilize a hands-on case study. Instructors should be flexible in teaching from the default Gantt view, the task entry view, and in creating custom views and reports.
