Description of Work: Phased renovation of former 117,332 square foot Army Reception Center into a U.S. Air Force Air Mobility Warfare Center. The work generally includes life safety upgrade, including modification of the fire alarm and fire protection system to areas not previously covered by the system. The work also includes architectural modifications to change the function of various spaces and the associated structural, mechanical and electrical modifications. Major efforts will be the conversion of the chapel into a state-of-the-art auditorium/conference facility with video teleconference capabilities and the conversion of 36,440 square foot warehouse area to classrooms, a fitness center, and an armory. Work in the warehouse area includes removal of some interior steel columns. Exterior work includes modification of the warehouse service entrance into a main pedestrian entrance and addition of an irrigation system, new water main, paving and landscaping. Project includes asbestos abatement and removal of lead panels. Areas not under construction will remain occupied.
