supervision, labor and material necessary to demolish existing sheds,
relocate a prefabricated storage shelter, relocate mechanical equipment
and piping and construct a new reinforced concrete and masonry
warehouse building (approximately 3,200 square feet) and a new
reinforced concrete handicapped ramp at the National Marine Fisheries
Service, Woods Hole, MA. 1 JOB Work includes option items for new
concrete stairs attached to the ramp, crack sealing and seal coating of
asphalt paving, removal of existing wood siding on the Aquarium
Building and replacing with new wood siding, construction of an asphalt
walkway and substituting aluminum railings on the handicapped ramp in
lieu of galvanized. Performance period is 120 days after receipt of
Notice to Proceed. Place of performance is the U.S. Department of
Commerce, National Marine Fisheries Service, 166 Water Street, Woods
Hold, MA. The Government estimate for this work is between $250,000 and
$500,000. Bid, Payment and Performance Bonds are required. IT IS
MANDATORY THAT BIDDERS ATTEND THE SITE VISIT WHICH IS SCHEDULED FOR
9:00 A.M. ON AUGUST 10, 1999 AT 166 WATER STREET, WOODS HOLE, MA (CHECK
SECTION L OF THE SOLICITATION FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION). BIDS WILL
ONLY BE ACCEPTED FROM FIRMS THAT ATTENDED THE SITE VISIT. A BID
SUBMITTED BY A FIRM THAT DID NOT ATTEND THE SITE VISIT WILL BE REJECTED
AS NONRESPONSIVE. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside. All
responsible sources may submit a bid which shall be considered by the
agency. Copies of the solicitation will only be provided in response to
written or faxed requests received directly from the requestor.
