FAX-212-264-3013 Through this solicitation, the U.S. Army Corpos of
Engineers is seeking sources for the following services for the purpose
of establishing Basic Ordering Agreements (BOAs). The Corps anticipates
the award of two to three BOAs with interested firms. Services: It is
the Government's intention to utilize this agreement and issue orders
to close breaches within the Fire Island Inlet to Southampton, Suffolk
County, NY. The Government is not requiring Performance or Payment
Bonds for the BOA. Performance and Payment Bonds will be required upon
issuance of each task order. The Contractor shall furnish all labor,
material, equipment and services (except those furnished by the
Government) for the placement of sand for breach closure utilizing
upland sand sources delivered by trucking, and for the installation and
extraction of sheet piling in association with the sand placement
operation for the area between Smith Point Park to Southampton. The
hours of operation will be 24 hours per day. The contractor shall
submit with his letter of interest the number of pieces of equipment
that will be available for use on this agreement. The following is the
minimum number of pieces of equipment that the Contractor shall have
available for this contract: One crane, minimum 40 tons; One Bucketed
Crane, 2 CY minimum; fifteen trucks, 17 to 23 CY capacity; two Front
End Loaders, minimum capacity 3 CYs; four dozers, D7 to D9; Three
Barges, and two marine tenders for bucketed cranes (minimum 2 CY). All
sources are required to submit the information requested above and the
following information: 1) the company's full name and address (no P.O.
Boxes), 2) the company's telephone number, FAX Number and any other
relevant phone numbers, including pager numbers, etc. 3) how the
company plans on making personnel available within 24 hours, 4) a list
of similar projects performed within the last 5 years along with
references for each project (to include phone numbers), 5) bank
references, 6) trade references from at least three sources, 7)
financial statements audited by the company's CPAs for the last two
years, 8) whether or not the company is a small business, 9) whether or
not the company is a small disadvantaged or woman owned business. The
period of performance of the agreement will be one year with the
possible extension of one to two option years. The contract will have
no minimum guarantee and the annual BOA limit could be $7.5 million
with a maximum order limit of $3.5 million. All work shall be in
accordance with drawings, specifications or instructions issued at the
time of the order. The contractor shall be required to pay liquidated
damages for failure to complete work within the time specified for
each order and for failure to mobilize within one day after issuance of
the Notice to Proceed for each order. Small business entities are
encouraged to respond to this solicitation. If a sufficient number of
small business firms respond, we reserve the right to set-aside the
procurement for small businesses only. The SIC Code for the
solicitation is 1629 with a size standard of $13.5 million. The
deadline for the submission of the required information is July 27,
