removal of the existing electrical system and clean out of all the
utility tunnels and conduit beams; structural repairs to deteriorated
portions of the longitudinal and transverse utlity tunnels, conduit
beams and other miscellaneous areas; installation of new ship/shore
power, utility power, and communications; relocation of two shore power
booms and associated hardware; removal of the bilge water line and
associated hardware along the wharf; removal of existing low pressure
and high pressure compressed air lines and associated air lines and
associated hardware; installation of new low pressure compressed air
piping, connectors, fittings, supports, and utility boxes; installation
of new supports for the existing 8-inch FRP waterline under the east
access bridge. The electrical service consists of installing two new
pad-mounted transformers, new conductors for ship/shore power, utility
and low voltage power, new breakers and current transformers inside
the electrical closets, horizontal directional drilled or trenched
conduits in the parking area, and the installation of berth face
lighting. The structural repairs consist of removing spalled and
deteriorated concrete, cleaning and installing reinforcement, patching
spalled concrete with concrete-based materials, pressure injection of
epoxy crack sealer and patching areas where supports and fasteners
have been removed. The new communications plant consists of providing
new 50 pair service at each gallery to remain (5 locations),
installation of surge arresters at both facility 1066 and wharf cable
terminations and providing mounting provisions for gallery phones. A
controlled site visit will be conducted on August 19, 1999 at 9:30
a.m.. Those parties wishing to participate in the site visit should

must submit their full name as shown on their drivers license, social
security number, company name and telephone number. Contractors are
required to bring their plans and specifications to site visit. The
tour will be limited to two (2) members per potential contractor, any

site visit will be the Pass and I.D. Building, Number 1068, located
outside the Main Gate (South Gate) on State Road 401 off of State Road
528. Access below wharf during the site visit is provided only by
means of access ladders at various lcoations on the wharf and from
points topside which provides visibility to components beneath the
deck. No boat tours will be given during the site visit. Questions at
the site visit concerning the project will only be answered via
amendment and must be submitted in writing to Michael Rogers, NAVFAC

opening. A notice to large firms that a subcontracting plan is required

Orlando, Florida 32826-3275. There is a $60.00 NON-REFUNDABLE charge
for "each" set of plans and specifications. Please provide your company
