The Bureau of Reclamation's Grand Coulee Project, Grand Coulee, WA, has a requirement to furnish, install, and test 1 stainless steel impeller with all appurtenant parts including stainless steel rotating wearing rings, and nickel aluminum bronze stationary wearing rings, for Pumping Unit P3 at the Grand Coulee Pumping-Generating Plant. The pump unit is rated at 1360 cubic feet per second. Work will include designing, fabricating, and testing a hydraulic pump model. We anticipate issuing a Request for Proposals (RFP) in early August, but all dates in this synopsis are subject to change. The RFP will be issued on a CD-ROM and will include digital photos of the work site which show the existing installation. A list of parties who've requested the RFP will be posted, after the RFP has been issued, on our web page at www.pn.usbr.gov/contracts. Offers will be evaluated on their proposed warranted efficiencies, the amount of successful past performance of similar requirements, the quality and capabilities oftheir proposed manufacturing facilities, and price, among other factors. At this time, a site visit has not been scheduled but the RFP, when issued, will include the specific date, time and meeting location for the site visit as well as providing a contact point for the site visit.
