Coast Guard Maintenance and Logistics command proposes to purchase DGPS
Transmitter Battery Systems as required by the Electronic Systems
Division. The battery systems shall be Exide Corporation Sonneschein
Part Number A212/200 or equivalent including 3 or 4 tier model battery
racks with cables. The estimated quantity of batteries to be ordered
during the entire term of the contract including all option periods is
68 sets. A set includes twelve batteries, partial sets may be ordered.
Delivery will be FOB Origin to points within the United States or its
possessions. The purchase will be made pursuant to FAR Part 12,
commercial procedures as supplemented by FAR Part 15. The supplies will
be purchased on a requirements basis for the period 1 October 1999
through 30 September 2000 and include 4 one-year option periods. FAR
52.217-8 option to extend will be incorporated into the solicitation.
The type of contract is a Requirements type contract with firm fixed
unit pricing. This procurement will be awarded utilizing full and open
competition. The SIC Code 3692 is assigned. The size standard is $1000
employees. Price, technical and past performance will be considered in
the award of this contract. INTERESTED PARTIES ARE NOTIFIED THAT THIS
