synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with
the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional
information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the
only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written
solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number 53SBNB960122 is
being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ) using simplified
acquisition procedures. Incorporated provisions and clauses are those

acquisition is unrestricted. The National Institute of Standards and
Technology's (NIST's) Fire Safety Engineering Division has a
requirement for a Gas Analyzer which will be used by the Large Fire
Research group within the Building and Fire Research Laboratory (BFRL)
at the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)
conducting full-scale fire experiments in the Large Fire Research
Facility (Building 205) at NIST and in the field. During the fire
experiments, the exhaust gases from the fires will be monitored to
determine potential toxicity and calculate heat release rate. The
equipment to be obtained through this solicitation will be used in
these experiments to measure oxygen, carbon dioxide, and carbon
monoxide. The Contract Line Item Numbers (CLINs), quantity and unit of
