686-5361 The U.S. Department of Agriculture intends to procure a Baader
184 Filleting Machine or an equal product. The specifications as a
minimum are: the fillet machine must be of a design that is current
with the catfish industry, must be designed to filet catfish from 0.4
to 1.6 kg with a throughput of 24-40 fish per minute, fish shall be
placed on a saddle which directs the fish through a series of blades
resulting in production of a skinless fillet with the rib cage removed,
the contractor shall provide training and maintenance of the machine
for a period of one year after date of delivery and shall be available
to service the machine within 24 hours of being contacted. Offerors
offering "equals" should submit descriptive literature for evaluation.
An IFB will be issued on or about July 19, 1999. All requests must be
