The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command intends to add contract line items on a sole-source, Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF)basis, to modify Contract N00039-94-C-0075 awarded in August 1994 to Lockheed Sanders Inc., Man 06-1000/P.O.Box 868, Nashua, NH. Contract N00039-94-C-0075 provides system engineering support, product improvement, equipment refurbishment, replacement and repair, at-sea and shore based test support, and installation and subsystem integration checkout for the Surveillance Towed Array Sensor System/Low Frequency Active (SURTASS/LFA) program. The Low Frequency Active (LFA) system is a mobile surveillance system capable of independent operation in a passive or active mode. The LFA system consist of four segments: sonar segment, communication and navigation segment, platform segment, and shore facility segment. The LTS is the transmit component of the LFA sonar segment. The LTS receives the transmit descriptions and command from the Active Receive Subsystem (ARS), selects the proper waveform from a data base, applies appropriate weighting for spatial shading and time delays for beam steering, amplifies the signal level, and distributes the amplified signal to the transducer modules which transform the electrical energy into focused acoustic energy. This will be a Cost Plus Fixed Fee (CPFF) option on contract N00039-94-C-0075. This action will be incorporated into contract N00039-94-C-0075 as an FY00 and FY01 option. The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this procurement is 8711. The amount of this contract modification is not expected to exceed $ 700,000.00 dollars.
