This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation DE-RQ65-99WG50025 is issued as a Request for Quotations. Solicitation documents and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect though Federal Acquisition Circular 97-12. SIC Code: 1721. The Contractor shall provide all the necessary labor and equipment for installing fiber optic cable on transmission line structures, and providing conduit, interduct, and testing in accordance with the Commercial Item Contract, and Contract Clauses including the statement of work. The principle component of the work include the following: Install one Government-furnished ADSS fiber optic cable on the Henderson-Mead 230-kv Transmission Line from Henderson Switching Station to Amargosa Substation. Provide 4-inch schedule 40 PVC conduit, concrete cap and interduct for underground runs from the terminal structure to the control building at Henderson Switching Station and Amargosa Substation. Install 25-feet of spooled ADSS fiber optic cable both the Henderson Control Building and the Amargosa Control Building. Provide Pre and Post installation tests of the ADSS fiber optic cable.
