Y -- TENKILLER SUSTAIN MINIMAL FLOWS PROJECT, TENKILLER POWERHOUSE, TENKILLER LAKE, OKLAHOMA SOL DACW56-99-B-0041 DUE 082699 POC Diane Cianci, Contract Specialist, 918/669-7270 The purpose of the project is to maintain flows from Tenkiller Lake to the Illinois River during periods of non-generation via the surge tank above the Tenkiller powerhouse. A 36" steel pipe will be connected to the surge tank, run down the face of a cliff from where the surge tank sites and along an alignment to a discharge point into the stilling basin. The discharge end of the pipe will shoot a stream of water out into the stilling basin so that aeration can be achieved. The pipe will be capable of discharging 125 cfs of water. Approximately 600 linear feet of 36" steel pipe will be installed, fastened to the face of the cliff and buried approximately one foot deep along the horizontal alignment to the discharge point. A manual and automated shut-off valve will also be installed in the piping system. The automated valve will be controlled from within the powerhouse. Wiring from the valve to a point inside the powerhouse will be required. Fencing shall be required around the discharge end of the pipeas well as signage warning people of the potential danger of discharge. Estimated cost range of this project is $100,000 to $250,000. Plans and specifications will be available on or about July 26, 1999, and will be provided on Compact Disks (CD-ROMS). IT HAS BEEN DETERMINED THAT THE NUMBER OF CD-ROMS WILL BE LIMITED TO ONE (1) PER FIRM. Plans and specifications will not be provided in a printed hard copy format.
