J. Anderson THIS SOLICITATION IS BEING ISSUED ON AN "UNRESTRICTED" BASIS, INVITING FULL AND OPEN COMPETITION. The project title is Asphalt Overlay and Drainage Improvements, Runway 5-23, South Field at the Naval Air Station, Whiting Field, Milton, FL. DESCRIPTION: Repair existing cracks, and apply 1-1/2 inch asphalt overlay. Demolish existing areas of asphalt paving adjacent to the runway and restore areas with sod. Regrade infield areas and install stormwater inlet to improve drainage. Install underground drainage pipe to carry stormwater to existing drainage ditches and new trench drain across the runway hub to direct water to existing open paved drainage ditches. Restore all disturbed areas and other incidental related work. The entire solicitation, including plans and specifications, will be available for viewing and downloading from the Internet approximately 16 July 1999.
