This project consists of reconstruction of an existing trail. The existing trail is constructed of native mineral material with some sections of native log puncheon, overlain with native organic material. Reconstruction work includes grading of trailbed to restore cross section template, placement of crushed aggregate surfacing, ditching, and installation of minor drainage structures. The project is located approximately 14 kilometers east of Wrangell, Alaska by boat. The trail begins at the beach at Eastern Passage (Back Channel) and ends at the Virginia Lake outlet.
