boyds@doleta.gov. The work involves the upgrade of the heating system
and the replacement of the existing windows and storefronts throughout
the center. The heating upgrades include the replacement of several
boilers and accompanying piping accessories in the main boiler room.
Also included in the heating upgrades includes the replacement of
existing fan coil units and ceiling type unit heaters with new dual
temperature terminal units. The period of performance from NTP to
substantial completion is 100 days. The estimated cost range of
construction is between $500,000 to $1,000,000. Plans and
Specifications will be available on or about July 28, 1999, ONLY from
the office of Pape, Cole & Associates, 106 W. Campbell Avenue, Roanoke,

information regarding this project. Collect calls will not be
accepted. It is emphasized that requests for plans and specifications
shall be directed to the A/E firm listed above to ensure proper
handling of requests. All requests must be in writing and a $100 bid
deposit is required which is refundable when plans and specifications
are returned in good condition. The bid deposit must be in the form of
a Certified Check, Cashier's Check or money order and made payable to
the U.S. Department of Labor, and submitted to Pape, Cole & Associates
at the time of request. All requests will be answered on a first-come,
first serve basis until supplies are exhausted. For requests made
after the supply is exhausted, a non-refundable fee not to exceed the
actual cost of reproduction of the IFB documents (to be determined by
the Contracting Officer) plus a shipping charge based on individual
request (if applicable) will be required in order to obtain the IFB
documents. A Pre-Bid walk-thru is scheduled for August 16, 1999, at
2:00 p.m. local time. The Bid Opening Date is August 31, 1999, at 1:00
p.m. local time. This is a 100% Small Business Set-Aside Acquisition.
The Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) Code for this acquisition
is 1711 with a Size Standard of $7.0 million. See Numbered Note(s): 1.
