Standards and Technology (NIST) has a requirement for a Phillips
Analytical X-Ray Optical Assembly which shall meet the following
requirements: (1) #PW3110/40, Bartels 4 Crystal Monochromater Ge (220),
Prefix Bartels 4-bounce monochromator with 12mm high crystals designed
to work with the line source. Can be used in combination with a Gutman
mirror (one each), (2) #PW3143/20, Crossed Slit High Resolution (one
each), (3) #PW3088/20, Optics, Prefix, X-ray Mirror, (4) #PW3032/40,
Goniometer Arm, Large Prefix goniometer Arm for MRD (one each), (5)
#PW3132/40, Calibration Tool Kit (one each), (6) #943092200371, High
precision X-ray tube, (2 tubes) one to be delivered before
installation, the other to be delivered upon request; and (7)
#PININSTALL, installation. The system is required to be fully
compatible with the existing Phillips MRD system.- Delivery and
installation is required ninety (90) days after receipt of order. --
The Government anticipates the award of a fixed pricepurchase order.
The proposed requirement is for equipment for which the Government
intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority
of FAR 6.301-1. Interested persons may identify their interest and
capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This
notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotation. However,
the government will consider all proposals received within fifteen (15)
days after date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the
Government not to compete this proposed requirement based upon
responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the
government. Information received will normally be considered solely for
the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive
procurement. A Request for Quotation (RFQ) package is not available.-It
is the Government's intent to negotiate with Phillips Analytical X-Ray,
90 MacFarland Avenue, Ivyland, PA 18974, the only responsible source
