DESC: This announcement is for the purpose of informing prospective firms of a decision by HQUSCENTAF Contracting to extend a modification for acceleration of WRM Asset Reconstitution in the State of Bahrain for an additional 6 months beginning 1 Oct 99. The current contractor, Airwork/Vinnell (AWV), has total responsibility for storage, maintenance and reconstitution of all WRM assets prepositioned in Oman and Reconstitution of vehicles and War Reserve Spares Kits Management in Bahrain. The initial contract was awarded sole source based on an international agreement with the 4469Country of Oman to begin 1 Oct 95 with a base year and four (4) one year options, we are currently in Option year three (3). In May 97 a modification was written to the contract acceleration our WRM Asset Reconstitution by expanding responsibility to include Harvest Falcon and Medical Kits identical to their on-going contract responsibility at three locations in Oman. This modification was written for a period of 16 months but extended for an additional 12 months pending award of a new contract Area Wide inclusion in to one contract beginning 1 Oct 99. Further delays in source selection have developed, therefore we must extend our effort in Bahrain sole source pending award of a new contract AOR wide beginning 1 Oct 00.
