NASA/JSC plans to issue a non competitive Request for Offer to modify contract NAS 9-19165 with MRI Computer Services, Inc. for continued support through September 30, 2000. This extension of the existing contract with MRI is essential to prevent a lapse in services to critical activities at NASA JSC. Failure to extend the contract would result in severe interruption of essential services to flight systems and would result in missed documentation deliverables for these projects. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. See Note 22. An Ombudsman has been appointed. See Internet Note "B". Interested firms have 15 days from the publication of this synopsis to submit in writing to the identified point of contact, their qualifications/capabilities.
