a Request for Proposal for an Occupational Medicine and Occupational
Health program. The scope of this contract shall be as such as to
implement the Occupational Medicine and Occupational Health program at
the Johnson Space Center. The Contractor shall also provide an
Environmental Health Program supporting personnel in the fields of
industrial hygiene, hazard communications, radiological health,
environmental surveillance, and related environmental health laboratory
support. The period of performance will be 1-year with four 1-year
options. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial item
using FAR Part 12. See Note 26. The provisions and clauses in the RFP
are those in effect through FAC 97-12. The SIC Code and Size Standard
are 8011 and $5 million, respectively. The DPAS rating for this
procurement is DO-C9. The anticipated release date of RFP
9-BH3-24-9-04P is on or about August 27, 1999 with an anticipated
proposal due date of on or about October 11, 1999. A draft of the
Statement of Work will be issued for industry comment. Additionally, a
pre-proposal conference may be held. Interested parties shall notify
the listed points of contact to request inclusion into pre-proposal
activities. All qualified responsible sources may submit a proposal
which shall be considered by the agency. An ombudsman has been
appointed. See Internet Note "B". The solicitation and any documents
related to this procurement will be available over the Internet. These
documents will be in Microsoft Office Suite (Word 6.0, Excel 5.0, or
PowerPoint 4.0) format and will reside on a World-Wide Web (WWW)
server, which may be accessed using a WWW browser application. The

shall notify this office of their intent to submit an offer. It is the
