DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY AGENCY DAY This notice is being issued by the U.S. Department of Energy, in conjunction with AFCEA International, to announce the first in a series of one-day events designed to bring together government and industry to discuss specific agency requirements and upcoming programs. Information technology firms, including small, small disadvantaged, 8(a), and women-owned small businesses are invited. This is your chance to meet the key IT players at the Department of Energy and to hear their plans firsthand. Get the inside scoop on future IT programs and applications. Senior DOE personnel will be on hand to meet and inform you. Agency representatives are eager to talk with small businesses to learn about capabilities and technologies available to address DOE's specific IT challenges. The keynote address will be given by the Deputy Secretary of the Department of Energy, T. J. Glauthier, with addresses being given by John Gilligan, Chief Information Officer at the Department of Energy, Richard Hopf, Director of Procurement and Assistance Management and Dr. Martha Krebs, Director of the Office of Science at the Department of Energy. Numerous panel presentations will address information technology opportunities at departmental facilities. The Government/Military fee to attend is $175.00 and the industry fee is $225.00.
