Food and Drug Administration, Center for Biologics and Evaluation
Research requires one workshop presented ten times to teach 20
participants from its regulatory staff "Effective Meetings and Writing
Minutes in a Regulatory Environment". This is a combined
synopsis/solicitation for commercial items and services prepared in
accordance with format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with
additional information included in this notice. This announcement
constitutes the only solicitation; and a written solicitation will not
be issued. This solicitation is an issued Request for Quotation (RFQ
#157449). The solicitation clauses and provisions are those in effect
through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-11. The Standard Industrial
Classification (SIC) Code for this acquisition is 8299. Statement of
Work: 1) provide tools and techniques for planning and accomplishing
productive meetings involving highly technical,
scientific/medical/regulatory issues; 2) provide strategies for dealing
with difficult behavior types; 3) discuss the role of a good
facilitator and how to follow through after a meeting; 4) define the
features of qualtity minutes; 5) provide a process for drafting and
finalizing accurate minutes. The expertise for this requirement should
be planning and effective meeting facilitation, conflict management
and resolution, dealing effectively with difficult behavior, taking
minutes efficiently, concluding meetings successfully. FDA/CBER intends
to award this Purchase Order using Simplified Acquisition Procedures
and responses are due by 2:00 p.m. July 27. The following FAR
