L. Davy, Regional Contract Specialist, 606-253-8892 The Federal Bureau
of Prisons, Mid-Atlantic Regional Contracting Office intends to award
a non-personal service contract for bus operations maintenance
training, under Request for Quotation 138-0116, for the Bus Operations
Center located at USP Terre Haute, In. This procurement is 100% set
aside for small business. Duties include but are not limited to:
providing training to garage foremen and inmates on the maintenance of
MCI, Bluebird, Eagle and Thomas buses, to include hands on work, group
and individual learning experiences. Training should provide learning
on diesel power technology, diesel fuel systems, engine overhaul,
engine tune-up, A/C systems, start and charge systems, power train,
automatic transmissions, and brake systems. The work hours shall be
Monday through Friday, between the hours of 8:00 am and 2:30 pm. Total
hours shall not exceed 30 hours per week. Requirements include: the
contractor must have graduated from an accredited institution in diesel
technology or possess equivalent successful working experience in the
repair and maintenance of MCI, Blue Bird, Eagle, and Thomas buses.
Contract period shall include a base year not to exceed 12 months, and
four 1 year option periods. The anticipated date of solicitation issue
is July 22, 1999, with an anticipated quote due date of August 19,
