This is a combined synopsis./solicitation for commercial services prepared in accordance with Subpart 12.6 of the FAR, except to the extent that a Request for Quote (N00189-99-Q-D281) will be issued due to the volume of Section B. This procurement is for Container Drayage Services as required by the Fleet and Industrial Supply Center (FISC), Ocean Terminal Division, Bldg Cep-201, Norfolk, Virgina. A Firm Fixed Price Requirements (Commercial) type contract is expected to result from this synopsis. The contract will be for a base year plus two option years. Services ar to commence 1 August 1999 or date of contract. The requirement is for the drayage of filled and empty commercial seavans to and from the Fleet Iindustrial Supply Center, Bldg Cep-201, Norfolk, Virginia and to or from various locations in the Tidewater area, all within a fifty (50) mile radius of FISC. This requirement is a 100% Small Business set-aside. All responsible sources may submit an offer, which shall be considered by the agency. Only written offers will be accepted. Request for solicitaiton must state that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise inelighble to receive a contract from any Federal agency. Failure to so represent will be grounds for refusing the request. Refer to the quote number (N00189-99-Q-D281) when requesting copies of the solicitation.
