Contracting Officer, (401) 736-1762 ISSUE DATE: 07/29/99. Contractor
shall provide all labor, materials, equipment, transportation,
supervision and disposal necessary for the installation of a new fire
alarm system at USCG Group Woods Hole, Woods Hole, MA (Barnstable
County). Work includes the demolition of the existing, interconnected,
fire alarm system for six (6) buildings and the design and
installation of a new Class B fire alarm system that meets the local
National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and National Electric Codes
(NEC) for the State of Massachusetts. The system shall also meet the
installation requirements for the American Disability Act (ADA).
Contractor also responsible for all incidental related work. Estimated
cost of this project is between $100,000 and $250,000 dollars. SIC

Utilization (OSDBU) has programs to assist minority, women-owned and
disadvantaged business enterprises to acquire short-term working
capital and bonding assistance for transportation-related contracts.
This is applicable to any eligible prime or subcontract at any tier.
The DOT Bonding Assistance Program enables firms to apply for bid,
payment and performance bonds up to $1.0 million per contract. The DOT
provides an 80% guaranty on the bond amount to a surety against
losses. Loans are available under the DOT Short-term Lending Program
(STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable
financing. The max. line of credit is $500,000. For further information
