Dollar Magnitude of this project is $100,000-$500,000. This
solicitation will contain one base item and one option. Base item work
is to demolish building 91. A concrete block building with a second
story glass observation deck and has approximately 1,000 SF of floor
space. The building is approx. 36_' long x 20_ wide. Interior
partitions are composed of concrete block walls and gypsum board. There
is approx. 1600 SF of asphalt and 5000 SF of concrete slabs to be
removed. All areas disturbed by this demolition shall be sodded with
centipede grass. The building contains approximately 1,530 SF of
non-friable asbestos and 270 SF of friable asbestos. Contractor must
remove all friable asbestos prior to demolition, but may choose to
leave non-friable asbestos using another approved removal method. The
option item is to demolish building 233 a three-story dormitory.
Building 233: A 3 story concrete block building with approximately
25,117 SF of floor space and constructed in 1954. The building is
approx. 22_' long x 37_4_ wide. Interior partitions are composed of
concrete block walls and gypsum board. The roof height is approximately
32_ above the exterior grade. There is also approx. 150_ of sidewalk to
be removed. All areas disturbed by this demolition shall be sodded with
centipede grass. There is approximately 23,000 SF of non-friable
asbestos carpet adhesive and 1,500 SF of floor tile mastic in the
building. The solicitation will be evaluated using Performance/Price
Trade-off Procedures. Evaluation factors will be set forth in the
Sections L and M of the solicitation. The Government reserves the right
to award to other than the lowest offeror. The performance time for
Base item work is 60 calendar days; the option item is 120 days (if the
option item is awarded at any time during base item work, performance
time will be added on to the end of the Base performance period.) NOTE:
For the option item, building 233 _While funds are not presently
available within Air Mobility Command to fund this project, we
anticipate funds will become available by 16 Nov 99. If current fiscal
year (FY99) funds become available, contract will be award no later
than 30 Sep 99. If FY99 funds are not available, we will fund this
project with FY00 funds._ The solicitation will be issued as
unrestricted. This solicitation will be available on or about 24 Jul
