The contractor shall perform all operations in strict accordance with plans and specifications to Maintain/Repair the interiors of BF 50, FY 68 and FY 71 Military Family Housing at Hickam AFB Hawaii. The principal work for this project shall include, but not be limited to maintenance and repair oif kitchens, bathrooms and other living areas in these dwelling units. Work shall include removal work, replacement of kitchen wall and base cabinets and hardware, bathroom vanity cabinets, countertops, bathtub/shower and enclosures, toilet and bath accessories, garbage disposals, range hoods, sinks, kitchen and bath plumbing fixtures with appurtenances, interior doors and hardware, floor and wall covering, interior painting, upgrade of electrical systems to meet the National Electrical Code, light fixtures, ventilation, smoke detector addition/replacement, lead based paint and asbestos sampling/removal as applicable, disposal of hazardous waste materiasl and furnishing the Quality Assurance/Control requirements necessary to perform all operations and the removal and reinstallation of government furnished property such as washers, dryers, dishwashers, ranges, refrigerators, and water heaters. The total performance period for the contract will be 12 months for the basic contract period and four 12-month option periods. This project is 100% set aside for 8(a)firms registered for construction (SIC code 1521 -- General Contractors Single Family Houses). In addition it has been determined that competition will be geographically limited to 8(a) firms certified for participation in the 8(a) program who are serviced by the Hawaii District Office. Note that 8(a) firms that are not serviced by the Hawaii District Office, but who have a verifiable office and employees located within the geographic area served by the Hawaii District Office at the time of this CBD announcement, are also eligible to submit offers. All other firms are deemed ineligible to submit offers. The maximum amount is $3,000,000 for each contract period. Contractor must have sufficient bonding capability for bid guarantee, performance and payment bonds. All contractors must be currently registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) program in order to receive a contract award from any DOD activity.
