The previous CBD announcement had a Brand Name of Bushnell Yardage Pro 800 Laser Rangefinder which is being discontinued. Therefore, the FBI's current requirement is for the Brand Name Bushnell Laser Rangefinder Model 20-0880. The Salient Characteristics that have changed are: Magnification -- Minimum 8x monocular sighting; Power Source -- 4 x 1.5 volt "AAA" batteries; Maximum Dimensions -- Length 4.75 inches, Width 3.75 inches, Height 2.0 inches; Weight 11.5 oz; Targeting Modes ">150" Enables distance measurement to a target greater than 150 yards/meters by ignoring laser energy pulses below these ranges; Reflector -- Distancing to special reflectors is enhanced. The aforementioned specifications do not constitute the establishment of a standard of quality, they are not to be considered the only product which will meet the specifications, and shall not be limited to these characteristics. Offerors can propose a brand name or equal to the Bushnell Laser Rangefinder Model 20-0880. Proposals shall be submitted on the Standard Form 1449 with an original and one copy. All offers shall acknowledge receipt of Amendment #1 and are in compliance with its requirements. Faxed offers and hand deliveries will not be accepted. The proposal due date is extended to Wednesday, August 4, 1999, at 1:00 p.m. EST.
