The Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) plans to award a purchase order to North Carolina State University, Center for Transportation and the Environment (CTE) to develop and maintain a database of FHWA Environmental Research Program (ERP) projects using the Environmental Research in Progress (EnvRip) database. The EnvRip database is a specialized database which offers an opportunity for information about FHWA Environmental Research Projects to be shared nationally with the transportation community. The EnvRip database also maintains a record of funded projects that fulfill the statements defined in Transportation Research Board (TRB) Circular 469, Environmental Research Needs in Transportation. Because CTE is the developer of the EnvRip database, they are the only known source available that can incorporate FHWA_s ERP projects into the EnvRip database.
