R -- TECHNICAL AND ADMINISTRATIVE SUPPORT SOL 263-96-C-0018 DUE 082799 POC Marcia Goldman, 301-496-2302 The Office of AIDS Research, National Institutes of Health, intends to negotiate with Social & Scientific Systems, Inc., 7101 Wisconsin Avenue, Suite 1300, Bethesda, Maryland 20814-4805 on a sole source basis in accordance with 41 U.S.C. 253(c)(1), as set forth in FAR 6.302-1. The NIH intend to modify the existing Contract 263-96-C-0018 for additional funding for the expansion of programs, especially those addressing the severe and ongoing health crisis of HIV/AIDS in minority communities. This expansion remains within the present scope of work. Inherent duplication of cost to the Government to recompete this procurement before the end of the period of performance and unacceptable delays in completing projects in progress make competition unfeasible. The period of performance shall commence on date of contract modification and continue through August 2001. The closing date will be forty-five days from the date of publication.
