The Two Story Barn is one of 19 historic structures at Hubbell Trading Post NHS and is comprised of a total of 10,200 square feet. The walls of The Two Story Barn are of rough-hewn stones pointed with adobe clay mortar with the floor and roof made up of ponderosa pine vigas and latillas. The work under this contract consists of constructing structural improvements and making repairs to The Two Story Barn. Specific work items include: removal of plywood and foam deck materials and installing steel and lightweight concrete deck at loft floor; installation of additional timber joists at loft floor; removal and replacement of 4 roof vigas; installation of diagonal steel rod bracing, and repair of cracks and repointing at rubble stone masonry walls.
