Work includes, but is not limited to furnishing all plant labor, materials, tools, equipment, transportation, and services necessary to renovate interior of Youth Center facility, Building 390 at Laughlin AFB, TX. The facility will be unoccupied during the construction phase. This project includes the abatement and disposal of asbestos and lead-based paint (LBP) hazardous materials in indicated areas. Some existing wall finishes shall be demolished and replaced with new gypsum board with new finishes as indicated. All floors, walls and ceilings shall receive new finishes. Some ceiling heights shall be lowered. Restrooms shall be reconfigured and made ADA compliant with the installation of new restroom fixtures. The entire facility shall be made ADA compliant through installation of interior ramps and exterior exit ramps. The facility upgrade shall also include installation of fire walls in kitchen and exit egress corridors for compliance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) and Life Safety Code requirements. An additional exit shall be installed in the main classroom per Life Safety Code. Work on the closed-circuit television (CCTV) system for Bldg 390 will be accomplished under a separate contract during the performance period of the contract resulting from this solicitation. However, this project includes installation of conductor conduit for additional cameras. All other construction as it appears in the construction documents is also included in this project.
