The Government intends to award a sole source contract to Alloy Surfaces Co., Inc. at 121 N. Commerce Dr., Chester Township, PA 19014 for 44,054 EA MJU-49/B Decoy Devices (the quantity is for a production quantity of 22,027 EA and an option quantity of 22,027 EA). The MJU-49/B Decoy Device is an infrared (IR) decoy device for aircraft application. The device consists of a cylindrical cartridge case, piston, infrared payload and end cap. The MJU-49/B Decoy Device is approximately 1.4 inches in diameter and 5.8 inches in length and is compatible with the AN/ALE-39 and AN/ALE-47 Despensing Sets. Loaded into either dispensing system with a CCU-63/B Impulse Cartridge, the decoy device is deployed upon command with an electrical impulse to initiate the impulse cartridge. First Article units whall be required 190 days after contract award (DAC). A production quantity rate of 3,200 per month shall be required beginning 270 DAC.
