It is a request for information (RFI). The Defense Supply Center Richmond (DSCR), located in Richmond Virginia is conducting RFI to receive input from commercial Generator manufacturers in identifying by National Stock Number (NSN) or commercial part number items described in The Department of State Office of Foreign buildings Operations Office Building Diesel Generator Set Specification. There is a potential for an award of a Requirements Type contract not to exceed $5,000,000.00. The contract duration will be a base year with a possible 4 option years. Delivery orders will be issued electronically by our customers directly to the manufacturer for an established contract price, with a 10 day FOB destination consus delivery schedule. Inspection/Acceptance will be destination.Oversea's deliveries will be to the nearest port for consolidated government shipments. The RFI discusses DLA background information wherein DLA is a logistics combat support agency whose primary role is to provide supplies and services to America's military forces worlwide. DLA's mission includes managing over four million consumable items, processing more than 30 million annual distribution actions and administering over $900 billion of DoD and other agency contracts. The Defense Logistics Support Command (DLSC), DLA Supply-chain manager, is responsible for several supply and services centers and a distribution center. Dlsc procures, manages, stores, and distributes over four million items for all U.S. military customers, other federal agencies, and allied forces throughout the world.
