Equipment (CAPRE) NSN 6625-01-456-9083DQ, estimated quantity is 1,620
each. (See description in the CAPRE0001 DATED 9 Jul 99). The Air Force
is seeking 3 year Basic Requirements contract with two options for the
CAPRE, one 2 year option and one 1 year option. This is a 100% Set
Aside for Small Business in accordance with FAR 19- 502.2, as a
competitive commercial FAR Part 12 acquisition. Evaluation will be in
accordance with FAR 15.101.1 using the Performance Price Tradeoff
procedures. The evaluation factors will be weighted accordingly: 1.
Technical -- Pass/Fail. 2. Performance (rated more heavily than price)
3. Price. The CAPRE is a ruggedized laptop computer which is Mission
Critical Support Equipment used in the reprogramming of numerous
avionics LRUs and supports multiple aircraft. Approved sources: NONE.
Offerors are required to submit three bid samples for government
evaluation. The Bid Samples will be returned to the contractor in as is
condition after testing is completed. Bid sample testing will be IAW
the purchase description (PD is

will be performed by Southwest Research Institute. Bid samples may be
damaged during testing. The Government will not reimburse the
contractor for the Bid Samples submitted. Southwest Research Institute
and the government will perform limited software capability testing
for USB functionality and Digital Computer System Manager Software
