99 -- BULLET TRAPS SOL USZA99-99-Q-0218 DUE 080399 POC Thelma Escobar, 757-492-7960 X228 This is a combined Synopsis/Request for Quotation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only Request for Quotation; proposals are being requested and a separate written request for quotation will be issued. The solicitation incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 90-41. This Request for Quotation is a Small Business-Small Purchase Set-Aside in accordance with FAR 52.219-14. Clin 0001, Portable Bullet Trap, Color Black, 21" x 30" x 3 1/2" sidewalls of box will be constructed of 3/16" mild steel. Back plate will be constructed of 1/4" AR500 steel plate. Sidewalls will be attached to the outside edge of the back plate with a continuous bead weld along the inside of the box. Handles will be attached in the center of the box on each side wall. Will be constructed of 1 1/2" steel tubing with a 1 1/4" by 1" steel tubing insert welded inside the top edge of the handle for a post support. Two posts required for each trap will be 60" long and constructed of 1 1/4" steel tubing. Base will consist of 1 1/2" angle iron to form a 27" x 27" square frame 1 1/2" steel tubing 6" long must be used for post supports, 50 ea. Price must include all transportation costs.
