Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory (LLNL). operated by the
University of California under contract with the U.S. Department of
Energy (DOE) is seeking potential industrial partners and participants
who are interested in and capable of developing a rotational rate
sensor to measure rotational acceleration. Preliminary LLNL designs
indicate that the resulting rotational accelerometers can be fabricated
at lower costs than existing devices. The proof of concept device was
a simple modification of a common device used for sensing other
effects. The design has been constructed so that these devices can
interface with typical instrumentation. THIS IS NOT A PROCUREMENT. If
you are interested in working with LLNL on a Cooperative Research and
Development Agreement to develop the rotational rate sensors, please
