IFB Issue Date: 8-03-99 Bid Opening Date: 9-02-99 Provide revegetation installation and maintenance for approximately 27 acres of riparian forest and 47 acres of oak savannah/mative grasslands within a city of Davis, CA owned agrticultural and riparioan property located along the right bank of South Fork Putah Crek in Yolo County. Site preparation work will include: minor earthwork grading, mowing, discing, weed control, roads, fencing, parking area, and well pump system adaption for irrigtion. Revegetation work includes: design of planting and irrigation plans, installing irrigation system, collecting and propagating all plantings and seeds, container and acorn planting, and native grass seeding. Plantings and grasslands will be maintained and irrigated for a period of one year before turnover to local sponsor for continued establishment. Offerorsare required to have a minimum of five (5) years experience in wetland, riparian, and native grassland restoration and revegetation. Offerors must have successfully completed, maintained, and monitored a minimum of three (3) similar projects to quality for consideration. Native landscapes or erosion control work are not representative of the qualifying technical experience required for this project. Also, required is familiarity with riparian, oak savannah, and grassland ecosystems, horticulture, design, monitoring, plant and irrigation installation, and extended maintenance. Offerors must permanently employ and commit to the project at least two (2) revegetation experienced persons, each with field experience and a 4 year degree, minimum, and one of the following areas: horticulture, botany, ecology, wildlife biology, natural resource management, range science, or similar studies with an environmental emphasis.
