This solicitation is set aside for small business concerns. The contractor shall provide all labor, equipment and materials necessary to install irrigation lines, couplers, pressure reducing valves. The U.S. National Arboretum recently installed an automated irrigation pump station to increase the water pressure delivered by the District of Columbia's water system. The increased pressure must be regulated at the delivery point of connection for automated irrigation systems. Pressure reducing valves ar designed to provide specific pressure in order for irrigation spray heads to function properly. The pressure reducing valves at point of connection are located at 3 diffect locations within the Arboretum. Three scopes of work shall be provided, similar in nature but different in specific needs locations of work, specifications and drawings. Price: the magnitude of this requirement is between $25,000 and $100,000. Alternate Payment Protection (52.228-13)applies. The total performance period for the contract will be 60 calendar days after award. Award shall be based on price and other factors. Past performance references are required. Only one site visit is scheduled for August 5, 1999 at 10:00 A.M. The solicitation will be available on or about July 22, 1999.
