USAID/Haiti (hereinafter known as USAID) is solicitating expressions of interest from potential partners as it intends to issue within the coming months/year a number of Request for Applications (RFAS) from a wide range of organizations including registered U.S. PVOs, USDA agencies, cooperatives, universities, and for-profit firms. While for-profit firms may submit applications, it is USAID's policy not to award fees/profits under assistance instruments. Cooperative agreements will be fully or incrementally funded depending upon the availability of funds. The acivities that will be implemented through those assistance instruments will be in support of the economic growth strategy objective (so) and in the following technical areas: Private Sector, Small-Scale Investment; Agricultural Product Marketing, Agricultural Cooperatives, Value Added Marketing; Hillside Agriculture, Small Farmer Production, High Value Cropping Systems; Natural Resource Management, Environmental Policy Formulation, Conservation foundations. In support of the prospective above activities, USAID is interested in developing a roster of organizations as well as individuals interested in working in Haiti. Therefore, organizations and individuals interested in being included in this roster should send to the address stated above a letter inluding, as applicable, the name of the organization, name of a contact person, street address including phone and fax numbers and as poddible a brief description of their program statement. The publication of this notice or the issuance of request for applications does not obligate the U.S. Government to award a cooperative agreement. We look forward to your response.
