The project consists of the construction of a grade separated intersection at the Natchez Trace Parkway/ Palmetto Road crossing located at Mile Post 256. The project work includes grading, drainage improvements, bridge construction, aggregate base and hot asphalt concrete pavement placement, and other miscellaneous work. Principal items of work and approximate quantities are as follows: Embankment Construction: 80,000 cubic meters; Aggregate base, Grading MSHD, various depths: 15,000 square meters; Hot asphalt concrete pavement, Class B, various gradings: 4,200 metric tons; Structural Concrete: 650 cubic meters; Reinforcing Steel: 15,000 kg; and Epoxy Coated Reinforcing Steel: 59,000 kg.
