The monument is located just east of milepost 386 along the Natchez Trace Parkway, approximatel 7 miles from Hohenwald, Tennessee. The monument is approximately 20 feet tall and consists of a rough cut dry laid sandstone block base with a two piece limestone column approximately 30 inches in diameter tapering to 20 inches. The work includes: -carefully dismantle monument. -pour new reinforced concrete slab foundation -fabricate and install new rough cut dry laid sandstone base foundation stones. -clean and reinstall existing salvageable sandstone base foundation stones. -clean, repair and reinstall two piece limestone column.
