The existing passenger elevators 1,2,3,5,6, and 7 need to be modernized, which shall include the replacement of the existing controls with solid state programmable systems and related equipment. The existing motor generator sets shall be replaced with new SCR equipment. The existing upgraded car no. 8 shall have its controls updated to operate with the new elevator controls so that all seven passenger elevators operate under one dispatching and supervisory 7-car group system. The project will include a six-year optional maintenance contract (one-year base with five one-year options).
