The U.S. Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command, Armament Research, Development and Engineering Center, Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey, has a requirement for the production of 165,000 M919 Armor Piercing, Fin Stabilized, Discarding Sabot with Trace (APFSDS-T), 25mm Cartridges. The cartridges are designed to be used in the M242 automatic cannon, attached to the M2/M3 Bradley Fighting Vehicle System, and shall be produced in accordance with Performance Specification MIL-PRF-71182. The subsequent contract will require a valid license from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission, and a complete and thorough knowledge of all the intricacies of the design, manufacture and function of the current M919 configuration.
