George M. Chavis, gchavis@pica.army.mil. The U.S. Army Tank-automotive
and Armaments Command, Armament Research, Development and Engineering
Center, Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey, has a requirement for the
production of 165,000 M919 Armor Piercing, Fin Stabilized, Discarding
Sabot with Trace (APFSDS-T), 25mm Cartridges. The cartridges are
designed to be used in the M242 automatic cannon, attached to the M2/M3
Bradley Fighting Vehicle System, and shall be produced in accordance
with Performance Specification MIL-PRF-71182. The subsequent contract
will require a valid license from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission,
and a complete and thorough knowledge of all the intricacies of the
design, manufacture and function of the current M919 configuration. The
anticipated release date of the Request for Proposal (RFP) is 29 July
