This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is 442-0021-9 and is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 97-11. The standard industrial classification code is 5074 and the small business size standard is 100 employees. This solicitation is exclusively set-aside for small business. There is one line item in this solicitation and the quantity is three (3) each. All items shall be equal to a Bradford White Commercial Electric Brute Hot Water Heater, vertical model, 200 gallon capacity, 72KW, 3-phase, 480V with the following dimensions; W-34 1/8", D-38 5/8", H-82 3/4" with a cold water inlet of 6". The hot water heater must have the following standard equipment features; meets ASHRAE 90.1 energy efficiency standards, energy saving performance, magnetic contactors with immersion thermostats, low watt density incoloy elements, internal fusing, glass lined tank, built-in safety drain pan, magnesium jacket, full-length hinged door with key lock, temperature and pressure relief valve, terminal block connections, 180 degree F temperature operation, channel iron skid base, U.L. listed, three year limited warranty, 150 PSI ASME construction. The following optional features are also required; combination temperature and pressure gauge, indicating lights-one per contactor, safety door interlock and hand hole cleanout. A contract will be awarded to the offeror who submits the lowest aggregate offer that meets the specifications outlined in this solicitation. Required delivery is no later than 9/21/99 or sooner. The quote must include the company name, address, telephone number, fax number, technical description of the items being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with requirements in the solicitation, to include dimensions, product literature and price. The following factors shall be used to evaluate offers: technical capability of the item offered to meet the Government requirement, price and time for delivery.
