This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial Items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. The announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation is being issued as a Request For Quotation (RFQ) DAHA2199-T-0010. This Solicitation is Under the Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP) for Small Business-Small Purchase Set-Aside. Standard Industrial Classification (SIC) is 4813, and the Business Standard is 1500 employees or less. This will be a "Brand Name or Equal" solicitation consisting of Item (1) 40 ea. 3 line digital phone compatible with system 75/G3V4 switch TN2181 16 port 2 wire digital card, P/N: PEC 3233-03 Color: White (MFR: Lucent Technologies). Item (2) 90 ea. 10 line digital phone compatible with system 75/G3V4 switch TN2181 16 port 2 wire digital card, P/N PEC 3234-04 Color: White (MFR: LucentTechnologies). Item (3) 7 ea. TN2181 16 port 2 wire digital card, compatible with system 75/G3V4 telephone switch. Phones shall be "New" not refurbished, shall be compatible with 75/G3V4 system and shall be Y2K compatible. The above listed characteristics are intended to be descriptive, but not restrictive. Unless clearly marked that the vendor is quoting on an "equal" the offered item shall be considered as the brand name product referenced in this announcement. If the vendor proposes to furnish an "equal" product, the brand name, if any, of the product to be furnished shall be inserted on the quotation. The evaluation of quotations and the determination as to equality of the product shall be the responsibility of the Government and will be based on information furnished by the vendor. The purchasing activity is not responsible for locating or securing any information which is not identified in the quotation and reasonably available to the purchasing activity. To insure that sufficient information is available the vendor must furnish as a part of its quotation all descriptive material (such as cuts, illustrations, drawings, or other information) necessary for the purchasing activity to determine whether the product meets the salient characteristics of the requirement. If the vendor proposes to modify a product so as to make it conform to the requirements of this announcement, it shall include a clear description of such proposed modifications, and clearly mark any descriptive material to show the modifications.
