accordance with Statement of Work, Drawings, and Prime Item
Specification. The arresting cable is a component of the Mk 1 and Mk 2
Mine Clearance Systems. The arresting cable is a specially built inch
diameter nylon rope with electrical conductors running the entire
length. The purpose of the electrical conductor is to carry an
electrical charge to a firing device and detonate 1,750 pounds of
explosive at the end of the arresting cable. The contract shall be for
a production quantity of 645 EA and shall include options for 390 EA.
A quantity of 10 EA First Article units may be required. The required
supplies shall be delivered F.O.B. Destination to the Naval Surface
Warfare Center at Crane, IN. First Articles shall be due 168 days after
contract award. Production quantity of 250 EA per month thereafter
including any exercised options. Numbered Notes 1 and 22 apply to the
proposed procurement. All responsible sources may submit a proposal
