The U.S. Department of Commerce/NOAA, intends to contract for the purchase of the following equipment, software, and service from the SeaSpace Corporation: 1 each integrated HRPT/SeaWiFS Receiver and Bit-Synchronizer, 1 each PCI Frame Synchronizer, 1 TeraScan XVU Software Module, and On-Site System Installation and Training. SeaSpace Corporation is the only known source of supply for these items. The items will be purchased and delivered to the U.S. Department of Commerce, Atmospheric, Oceanic, Meteorological Laboratory; Miami, Florida. The intended procurement is for supplies for which the Government intends to acquire from one source of supply under the authority of 41USC253 (c)(1). Due to existing software compatibility requirements the Government knows of only one source authorized to provide the items identified. This is not a request for proposals and there is no solicitation available at this time. This acquisition is being conducted pursuant to the guidelines set forth in FAR part 13.The Government reserves the right to solicit bids based on receipt of affirmative responses to this notice or issue an order to SeaSpace Corporation whichever is determined to be more advantageous to the Government without further notice.
