to award a $115,000 Research and Development (R&D) sole-source
contract to State University of New York (SUNY), Stony Brook in support
of the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency's (DARPA) BWD program.
SUNY, Stony Brook will investigate whether a poliovirus could be
employed in biological warfare. SUNY, Stony Brook is the only source
capable of performing this work because of the expertise in this field.
This action is a result of an unsolicited proposal. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT
IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS. Any responses to this
